    Vintage 2017 : the first of Tenuta il Quinto! A vintage marked by the absence of rainfall and during which the heat and the sun ensured a complex maturation of the grapes.

    Defoliation : manual and selective close to the grapes to ensure good phenolic maturation
    Treatments : prophylaxis in the vineyard, biological control to preserve biodiversity

    Vinification

    Harvest : plot harvesting, manual with selection at the sorting table
    Fermentation : cold pre-fermentative maceration to preserve the freshness of the fruit, hot post-fermentative maceration.
    Aging : 9 month in steel cask
    Bottling : at the estate

    Tasting notes

    The 2017 vintage stands out for its aromatic, concentrated and flagrant nose. Aromas of violet, blackcurrant associated with notes of black pepper and olives. On the palate it is fruity, balanced and generous, round and persistent.

    Tasting notes

    Ficaie 2018 is distinguished by an aromatic nose: notes of fresh fruit, including red fruits such as currant and strawberry, as well as purple floral notes. On the palate it is fruity, balanced, fresh and offers roundness, good length.
